This form of therapy is brief and engaging, combining therapeutic approaches (present and past focused) with coaching processes (present and future focused) to support new understandings and growth by identifying and challenging outdated beliefs and behaviours. It is focused on moving towards what you do want rather than moving away from what you do not want. Whilst still being respectful of the past, this approach utilises the key aspects of the [present] issue. Often what initially may have seemed like an impassable block, becomes the perfect stepping-stone.
Because it is "brief" (weeks and months, not years), some people assume therapeutic coaching is ineffective. In my experience, it is powerful and provides lasting meaningful change, as you will see from the client feedback page.
I integrate the psychotherapeutic applications of NLP, positive psychology, conflict resolution, self-relations psychotherapy, timelines, hypnosis and, sometimes, trance. These approaches blend and give rise to positive futures whilst also recognising the significance of the past. I sponsor the specific needs of my clients as we focus and invest our collective resources to get to the source of the issues, e.g. habits, addictions or trauma.
I strive to increase awareness, understanding and choice whilst working holistically to integrate the resources inherent in each individual and thus generate fresh and meaningful perspectives.
